Labor day is a day when we all celebrate for everyone who works hard. Peter J. Mcguire came up wth the idea but Mathew Mcguire founded the holiday.New York City was one of the first to celebrate labor day. On 1894 congress made labor day a legal holiday. Today everybody celebrates Labor day.
