My Weekend

Tonight I am either spending the night at my aunt's, going to the football game, go to my cousin's hockey game, or staying home to dye my hair (blue underneath and possibly black streaks). I haven't decided which to do yet. Tomorrow I am going to my friend Hannah's and might possibly stay the night there. Lastly, on Sunday I have church and then I might go to my grandma's.

1st Quarter Technology

Picture From Here

I liked technology 1st quarter, but it seemed longer that any other class of the day. My favorite thing about technology was the blogs and timed typing test. I like technology, because it was a whole 45 minutes on computers a day. I'm going to miss having technology 2nd quarter, but the thing I didn't like about technology was that it seemed longest and I don't like long classes.

Should Physical Education Be Mandatory?

Picture From Here

I think it should be mandatory because people need to be healthy. Your health is important and you really need to take care of yourself. Physical Education is a big thing in school and it's a big part in peoples lives. You need to get active and participate. I personally don't like Physical Education, but it helps me with my health and I know that. So there for I participate. The reasons I don't enjoy it mostly is because I don't like have to do the exercises and running every single day. It can get tiring, but it is good for your body and health.

Vital Connection

Picture From Here

Vital Connection is a Wednesday church program for teens at Victory Church in Pevely. I go pretty much every Wednesday. It is from 7:30 to about 9:00. I love it there, I have fun with friends and I worship my heart out. They talked about See You At The Pole there. They sold shirts, bracelets, etc. Victory Church is the church I go to on Sundays and inviting people that don't go to the church will start a new generation. We are the new generation!

One Hundred Dollar Give Away

Picture From Here

If I had $100 to give away I would give it to a Cancer Research. My grandpa died from Pancreatic Cancer and it affected my whole family. Ever since then we have been trying to help people with cancer and trying to prevent it. The money would go toward helping pay for their surgeries and medicines.

There kids are my two aunt's (Valerie and Vicki) and my dad (George). Then the grand kids; My Aunt Valerie's kids (Erik and Matt), my Aunt Vicki's kids (Joey and Faith) and then my dads kids; (Mackenzie, Ryan, Shane and I).

A Helping "Foot"

Picture From Here

This story is about the time I helped my sister before her soccer practice. My sister isn't really the BEST soccer player and she wanted help on making goals, head shots, blocking, and so on. So we went outside and practiced head shots. She didn't do so well the first time, but after awhile she got better. Then we went on to blocking. She was was pretty good on blocking but I noticed she still needed a few more practices, but we didn't have time, because she had a game the following day. I noticed she did alot better than before and she even made a goal.

Rachel's Challenge

Picture From Here

Rachel's Challenge is about a girl named Rachel and she got killed in her high schools shooting by two boys at her school. Her parents started this program by looking at her diaries and her drawings. Rachel was a nice student, she stood up for her friends and others, and she wanted to make a difference in the world. Rachel always announced that she was going to die at a young age and one week before her death she wrote in her diary, " Dear Lord, My time is almost up, I'm dying away slowly." Rachel's Challenge really changed me and I hope it encouraged others to be respectful.

9/11 Experience

Picture From Here

9/11 was a horrible experience for New York and the rest of America. I was only two so I don't remember it, but I've heard it was one of those days where everything stopped. My best friends grandma died in the 9/11 tragety. I think that was just a cruel and horrible thing. Those terriost killing all those people and themselves. I feel bad for all those families with relatives that died in 9/11. I'm releved that most of the people that survied are still here today.

"Dude...This Thing Claims I Have Mail!"

Technology was pretty awesome. My favorite things that we did were the blogs, and the typing courses. I learned how to cite sources (not just pasting the URL), and some cool stuff you can do with Microsoft Word. I managed to get my average words per minute from around 40 to somewhere between 55-60.    One thing I did not like were the educational videos, that gave you obvious information. I know that if something does not fit into a port, that trying to jam it in there is not a good idea. The video did not need to tell me that. I guess that there are people that would try that, though.

School Is Piracy...

...and piracy is a crime. You are probably trying to figure out what I mean. Well, piracy is a crime because it is technically stealing, which is illegal. It is illegal because you are not paying for it and, in turn, the producers, directors, etc. don't get paid for their hard work, which you took. The same thing applies to school, we have to do a lot of homework for thirteen years (K-12) and we get nothing for it. Education? No, we already have been taught the skill, otherwise we would not be able to complete the homework. (Further education i.e. more homework and reading, yes.) With homework, you are  practicing the skill, and teachers collect it and give you nothing more than a letter grade and percent, which determines if you will pass, and get to do more of this next year, or fail, and stay in the same grade, and still do more next year.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

I think that being smart is more important than working hard to be successful in what you do, though both are very important. If you work smarter, you can minimize the amount of time and effort required to complete the job, so you can get it done easier. I cannot think of any examples of this.

Some More Useless Stuff

Monday, I watched Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World for the ninth time. It was still as awesome as the first time I watched it. I also read the first and second Scott Pilgrim comics again. They are still awesome. How did I have this much free time? I was sick. So now I get to do a lot of absent/make-up work that will probably take up the rest of my free time after school...again. I still think that being sick is better than school, even if I do have to make up a lot of work.

Plans For The Weekend

With the release of Fast Five tomorrow my weekend will probably be spent trying to figure out the when in the series the movie takes place because the timeline makes absolutely zero sense to me. Other than trying to figure out the movie, I will probably trying to finish the book Johnny Tremain for a C.A. assignment.

Weather

Picture From Here

I personally do not care about the weather because it does not affect me. I do not plan according to what the weather will be like, I just decide what to do when I do it. The most common ways to get weather reports are on the T.V. or on the radio. Accurate weather reports are not important to me because I do not care about what the weather will be like unless it is going to snow enough to get out of school. My activities are not usually affected by weather, and my plans in the last week have not been influenced or changed by the weather.

Booker T. Washington

What I think Booker T. Washington meant when he said, “If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else,” is if you want to feel happier or better about yourself, them make someone else happy. If you make someone else happy, you will probably gain a new friend or they will make you feel better in return. Also, you usually feel better knowing that you've helped someone else feel happy. People are usually kind once you get to know them, and what is a better way to get to know someone then raise their spirits and give them joy.

Express Yourself!

My name is Logan and I am a cool dude. I am an only child that plays drums, guitar, and bass. I have one dog, named Brandi, and some fish (I am not sure how many). I enjoy playing video games, reading, watching movies, and listening to music.  My favorite top five favorite bands are Green Day, Skrillex, The Lonely Island, The Distillers, and Tenacious D. My top five favorite movies are Shawshank Redemption, Donnie Darko, Team America: World Police, Tenacious D and The Pick of Destiny, with The Evil Dead and The Chronicles of Riddick (series) tying at number five. My favorite video games change often, but the games with a definite spot in the top five are the Mortal Kombat series, the Resident Evil series, and Super Mario Bros. 3.  The best books I have ever read are the Night Angel Trilogy (The Way Of Shadows, The Shadow's Edge, and Beyond The Shadows), by Brent Weeks. I also enjoy skateboarding and riding my bike, along with swimming. I am always on somekind of (as old people would say) one o' them electronic thingies that give me headaches. That could mean a cell phone, iPod, computer (that can run Crysis), or playing video games. I was a proud owner of a Virtual Boy (I did not use it, but it is cool to say you have one) until my parents sold it. Have a nice day.
